Hi, I’m Robert, a friend of Rebecca’s and a Senior Software Engineer with over 30 years of experience in web development; including 4 years working in advanced AI systems. (I build my own Artificial Intelligence models)
A few weeks ago, I was trying to find Rebecca’s church website, and even knowing the name, it wasn’t easy. The site didn’t show up clearly in search results, and when I did find it; I wasn’t immediately sure I was in the right place. That’s when it hit me: if I was struggling, how would someone completely new to GTPC feel? Someone looking for a church, for community, for truth?
After speaking with Irene and hearing some of the struggles around the current website and its navigation, I decided to draft out an idea. I did the initial scaffolding so you can visualize what a real system could feel like to use. I’ve put in about 30 hours of development work to lay a new foundation for a modern, welcoming, and deeply functional website—at no cost. This is my gift to you, because I believe in what this church stands for and the impact it can have when more people are able to discover it.
There’s still much more to do, but if the church decides to move forward with me, I’d be honored to help complete and launch a full-featured, future-ready website tailored to GTPC’s specific needs. Think of this not just as a website, but as a mission tool. It will be optimized for mobile, fully accessible, built for speed and SEO, and designed to grow with you. Whether it's livestream integration, sermon archives, volunteer signups, or events calendars; the possibilities are wide open. I’ll work closely with you to shape the exact features you need.
GTPC has a powerful message. But right now, it's not reaching as many people as it could. The church’s YouTube channel, for example, has 500 beautiful sermons, but they’re missing hashtags, titles that catch the eye, and broader distribution. There are just 149 followers today with very few views, but there’s potential for so much more. Similarly, your social presence could be expanded and made easier to manage, and we can automate much of this depending on your budget, freeing your team to focus on ministry rather than marketing.
I’m not here as a salesperson. I’m here because I care about the Church, and I believe that when tech and mission align, we can reach people we never thought possible. I’ll do everything I can to support that with transparency, collaboration, and care.
Let’s make GTPC easier to find. Let’s help people know they’re in the right place the moment they arrive; online and in person.
With gratitude and hope,
Robert
Important Note: This is NOT a template or off-the-shelf solution. The entire design and functionality was custom-built from scratch by me, using modern web development best practices. Special attention was given to accessibility and user-friendliness, ensuring that users of all ages including seniors can navigate and use the website comfortably without feeling overwhelmed by complex interfaces or confusing layouts.
